Wreaths Across America - Veterans

Join us at Houston's National Cemetery, as we unload trailers of Wreaths for "Wreaths across America" for the event that takes place on Saturday when volunteers place them on the Graves.

***  HOD -  Exact meeting time is 10 am.

FRIDAY, December 13, 2019 - Meet at 10:00 AM in the center “HEMI-CYCLE” of the Cemetery - a few minutes later we will locate a truck that needs to be unloaded.

RAIN or SHINE – We typically finish around noon, if the weather cooperates

( HOD does NOT participate on Shabbat but for those who want to attend the actual Parade and /or assist with Laying of the Wreathes - SATURDAY, December 14, 2019 - Parade starts at 8 am and Ceremony at 11:00 AM in the center “HEMI-CYCLE” of the Cemetery. If you do attend try to go to the upper level to the left of the platform if you are facing it.)

Timing

07:00am : Shuttle and Bus service starts.

08:00am : Motorcycle Escort (click for more info) and Trucks arrive.

11:00am : Ceremony Starts.

11:50am : Wreath Laying Starts – no wreaths will be laid until the ceremony is over.

02:30pm : Shuttle and Bus service stops.

PARKING:

You may park in the cemetery, or on side streets - Do not block any roads. Click on link above for more info as they get over 17,000 people.
