Mark Oppenheimer’s new book is a poignant exploration of the aftermath of the 2018 murder of 11 Jews as they worshiped at the Tree of Life Synagogue. Oppenheimer, who is the writer and host of the podcast, Unorthodox, beautifully captures the vibrancy and resilience that characterize Squirrel Hill, providing inspiration to any place burdened with discrimination, hate and loss.
